Facebook has recently developed a developer tool called Facebook Social Plugins, where you can now use this Wizard like tool to create various social plugins to be used in your websites.
To access this Wizard like tool, go to Facebook Social Plugins
I am quite fancy about this tool, it looks cool after all, so I give it a try!
As you can see on my right hand sidebar, I have inserted a Like Button, see the below screenshot :
The use of this social plugin is to let your visitor to “Like” or “Recommend” your website, which I think it is something like a Voting features, whereby this Facebook Social Plugin use “Like” or “Recommend” terminology. Go ahead and click the Recommend button now, and you can see your profile will be appear in the same box, so it is very viral to your profile as well. Cool right?
Imagine thousand of people visited this site and saw your facebook profile in the box and you have recommend this site, or can you imagine if someone who is influenced in your industry has recommended or like your site?
So let me show you a quick how to insert this Facebook Social Plugin in your website.
Step 1 : Choose any plugin you likes, in this case, I choose Like Button
Step 2 : The most important detail to fill in the wizard form is URL To Like, which is your website URL where you want to put this widget into, in my case will be my website URL http://www.masterkeith.com/
Step 3 : The rests of the details is based on your preferences. Click Get Code when all done filling the details.
Step 4 : Copy and paste the iframe code into your website, if you are using wordpress blog, you can paste the iframe codes into sidebar widget, just like what I did here.
